A day in my life as a wedding emcee in singapore

Want to get to know me better? This is my day as a wedding emcee in Singapore, and as a father to two princesses.

This video is dedicated to my dear Ayla and Kyra.

My background

Growing up my childhood ambition was always to become a General Manager of a hotel – a passion that led me to pursue my studies in Hospitality and Tourism Management. My eagerness to learn and resourcefulness earned me in a memorable internship abroad with Ascott – first in Bangkok, then to India, and the middle east upon graduating. I can say with conviction that hospitality has always been in my blood, to put smiles on faces and liven up an experience.

Eventually, due to family reasons I came back to Singapore and tried my hand at a small enterprise.

Over the decades, emceeing was a part time undertaking for close friends and families until 2020 where I decided to take the plunge and go into emceeing full time. As you may have guessed, it was probably the worst time to begin a career in emceeing. However, I was surprisingly pleased that 2021 became an extremely outstanding year by any standard, to have been booked for 103 weddings!

I can’t help but be humbled by the level of support and interest that I have received in my gigs – clearly I am doing a few things right. That is, I choose to speak from the heart, communicate genuine warmth and treat the brides and grooms as my own family. I believe the audience and the families experienced my true heartfelt hospitality which I hope helped to make the most memorable events even more so.
